About the Founder

Frank and Karen Kolbaba joined Elks Lodge in 2001.

The idea to have the first motorcycle toy run came out of casual conversation about how to raise money for deserving children. From there the fund raising and charity work expanded. The Kolbaba’s started 4 KID’S Charity and received 501(c)(3) in 2007. Their event list included the motorcycle Toy Run, a Special Needs Kids Fun/Fishing Day, School Supply Drives, motorcycle Mystery Rides. The beneficiaries of these fundraisers are the Shriner’s Hospital for Kids, Elks Therapy Program, Nina Harris School (for handicapped and special needs), local spouse abuse shelters, Boys and Girls Club, Kids Café, and RCS Food Bank as well as the 4KIDS Bag Program.

4 KID’S Charity also sponsors a Special Needs Kids Day, where disabled, seriously ill or terminally ill children are taken for boat rides, motorcycle rides, swim in the Elk’s pool, have sport celebrity visitors, pirates, police demonstrations, stunt demonstrations along with plenty of hot dogs and burgers. Mr. Kolbaba also makes multiple appearances at appropriate children’s locations, such as shelters and foster homes, as well as being only one of only two Santa Clause characters authorized to go to All Children’s Hospital, with Mrs. Kolbaba as Mrs. Clause. At first, Frank & Karen purchased toys with her own money and delivered them to shelters, community centers and needy homes. She contacted clergy members and arranged to deliver toys and clothing anonymously to the doorsteps of families in need. Over time, scores of local community groups have come to rely on 4 KID’S Charity for help in supplying needy children with toys and other items.

4 KID’S Charity operates all year round and is involved in many programs in addition to distributing toys. Of course, during the holiday season they are busy delivering thousands of toys to needy children, but we don't stop there. 4 KID’S Charity supplies toys, fun, schools supplies and other necessities also give dreams, hope, and let them know someone cares to the children and their families all year long 4 Kid’s Charity is a 501(c) (3) non-profit  totally run by volunteers helping ‘ONE KID AT A TIME”.
